Kissing the feet of the Master, is all I want to do!

'Therefore, I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”' Luke 7:47

While dining at the home of a Pharisee, Jesus is met by a woman who bathes his feet with her tears and dries them with her hair. While the Pharisee sees this as shocking behavior, Jesus explains that the woman is expressing loving gratitude in response to the forgiveness of her sins.
In this story we have Simon the Pharisee and the sinful woman.

When she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house. Luke 7:37

In this story, a name was given to the Pharisee, Simon but the woman remains unnamed, but labeled with the word SINNER! This woman was known in her town that she was a prostitute. She was unclean, she knew she was in deep darkness of sins, she had the courage to appear before Jesus while he was sitting at the table in the Pharisee’s house, in front of many others “religious” thinking they are “holy enough” to sit with the Perfect person at the same table.
The Pharisee: was simply blind to Jesus, he was spiritually blind to his own sins, thinking he could cover the wickedness of his own heart.

This forgiven prostitute had a far greater understanding of Jesus than this religious Pharisee.

She did not speak her faith – no verbal confession, no sinner’s prayer was recorded here, but she certainly demonstrated her love for a God who forgives COMPLETELY.

Her sins were covered with the love of Jesus. That applies to us as well, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9
Once we confess to HIM ours sins, He doesn't require us to do any deeds or any religious formalities in order to earn His forgiveness or make Him forget our sins, it is ALREADY done on the cross! IT IS FINISHED!

Extravagant love like a rain. And the Marvelous grace of Jesus.
Simon the Pharisee (Following the law, the religious rituals in general) was spiritually arrogant believing he had no sins to be forgiven.
This sinful woman who heard about Jesus and believed in His mercy, compassion and most importantly the Truth coming out from His mouth! Was probably abused as a child, she was maybe a widow giving the fact that she ended up being a sinful woman (in other terms: prostitute). Maybe she was filled with lust. She was certainly a broken woman. She KNEW she was unclean and is a criticized woman in her society. Of course, full of shame and guilt, a humiliated woman.
But she came with ALL this to the ONE who will take away her shame and guilt, to the one who will clean her and make her white as snow.
She came to Jesus because she KNEW she was forgiven, she came out of Love not fear of judgment or something on her to do list to get it out of her way!  She came out of GRATITUDE.

Not trying to win the approval of Jesus, as the Pharisees and the guest are always trying to do to have their sin forgiven.
This was already done for her, she had this CERTITUDE that she was CLEAN and was expressing gratitude in her actions, demonstrating love to the Master.
She was not only forgiven but Jesus spoke SHALOM over her which means not only peace, but prosperity and wholeness and goodness and blessing!
She received both her salvation and her healing, before even appearing before Jesus.
Even if Jesus was rejected by the Pharisees, he still accepted the invitation to dinner, from a Pharisee. Jesus will not reject anyone, whether you are doing all the religious things to calm your conscience or out of fear. But Jesus doesn’t want you to be a Pharisee, and have this sophisticated relationship with Him,

Everyone Jesus encounters, he desires to save from their sins, but not everyone accepts the salvation he brought.

He wants a love relationship, a simple one where love is being exchanged. Where He can lavish His grace and the true reason of His death for you. Would you invite Jesus today to show gratitude and love and receive His salvation or would you just take the law path where Jesus is not there?

Abba, I want to find you more.

Take me Lord to the secret room, just me and You.  Father, come and hold my heart, it is so fragile and so broken. It is all dirty and waiting for your purification, for your fire to burn all unnecessary feeling and overthinking.
My heart is all cracked, Abba, I seek you, earnestly. My whole being, my inner self, my soul desperately thirsts for You. My flesh longs for you.
Father I am crying out to you, I need you. It is all dry here, I need to be soaked in your Love, in your grace.
O Lord, revive me according to your justice. My soul waits for you, My father and My redeemer. Fill those cracks with your abundant redemption.
Your love is overwhelming, is unconditional, melts the heart. I just want to stay soaked in it and never leave your arms.
Lord, I want to see you. Your face Lord I seek. Take me deeper into your bosom, hide me and cover me with your feathers.
This is where I feel safe, this is all what satisfies me.
I am looking at you, coming, come free me, deliver me to run unto you Lord and meet you!
Lord take me into a deeper revelation of your grace, of your compassion. Let me live your humility and humbleness. It is so good to be in a relationship with you. It is life. I do not want to seek my own vindication. All I want is YOU! You only satisfy the heart and the soul, God.
I want to touch you, I want to feel you. I want to be clothed with your compassion and your Spirit.
Free me Lord, so I can contemplate your face. I want to keep looking at you.
Free me Lord from any distraction and let me fix my eyes on your beauty. Lord I am not content with where I am now, I want to encounter your beauty. I want to be constantly washed in your blood and obey you.
Come Father, come kiss me, come throw your arms around me and embrace me, love me, let your love flow into my veins, fill me Lord. I need you. I cannot live astray here on this earth. You are the meaning of my life.
Like my name is engraved on the palms of your hands, God, I want your name, JESUS, to be engraved in my heart.
Hit me Lord with your Spirit, shake my whole thinking, my whole being with your fire.
Let my heart burn for you constantly, let my eyes be awake through the night to meditate on your word.
Take my life Lord and let it be significant to you. Father I can do nothing without you.
Give me sensitive ears to your voice Lord, I want you Lord, it’s all about you.
You promised to give me the desires of my heart and my one and only desire is YOU. I am lovesick. I am hopelessly weak with love for you Jesus.
My soul faints with longing for your salvation, God.
Teach me your ways Lord to keep walking hand in hand with you and redeem the time.
Release glimpse of all what you have for me.
Stir my heart for a greater hunger and thirst for you.
Give me strength to press on and persevere Lord in what you have prepared for me, and pursue you more. Help me go deep into your plans.

What will your wear today?

Jesus is concerned about your spiritual clothing not your wardrobe. When Jesus asked us to follow Him, He did not mean to take the sufferings and the sins of the world upon your shoulder. He wants us to model ourselves after Him. To become Christ-like!

'Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 'Colossians 3:12

I intentionally picked the New International Version for this verse, for using the word: Clothe.

As a believer (means a person who believes that Jesus died on the cross to save him from his sins, that He was raised from the dead and who has decided to follow Jesus as the Lord of his life. A person who believe in the blood of Jesus and the work of the Cross to give them eternal life. Experiencing a spiritual change, a conversion that leads into knowing your identity in Christ.) that is the wardrobe you need to have.

If we love Christ above everything, we must love humility above everything. The humility is the very essence of His glory and the salvation that He brings.

Heavenly humility: Jesus brought humility from heaven to us.
He chose the form of a servant, he made himself of no reputation. He said he didn’t come to be served but to serve. Philippians 2:5-8

He went to wash the feet of all His disciples including Judas whom He knew he would betray Him, He humbled Himself, the ground that allows Love to happen despite the corruption of men.
He took a very low place when he washed their feet. But he took the lowest place on earth on the Calvary.

The secret of his exaltation, is that He humbled himself before man!

A man needs to be saved from the root of the sin, pride. Salvation is needed.
This root is caused by the first sin in the history of the universe: P.R.I.D.E. – Lucifer (an angel in heaven) committed the sin. If pride could break out in heaven and cause an angel to lose his place. How much more are we susceptible as sinners here on earth?

But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you.

When you are at the bottom there is no lower you can go.
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted
Luke 14:7-11

He that is down need fear no fall;. He that is low, no pride;. He that is humble ever shall. Have God to be his guide. John Bunyan

Jesus was exalted because He humbled Himself. The exaltation is the reward of the humiliation: Therefore God also has highly exalted Him. Philippians 2:9

The pride of man, claiming your rights, and choosing to value the law more than grace and mercy, instead of having a relationship with the Father will cause a dangerous backslide in your relationship with God, and others.
The absence of humility is trying to find faults, seek to justify yourself, accuse or blame others.

A humble willingness to be known as we really are reveals a heart of sincere repentance and hunger for God. Anything other than that is usually rooted in the sin of pride, a sin against love. Jack Frost.

The salvation we need is not only the forgiveness of sins, it is the spirit of humility that is in Christ.

“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
Pride has no place in His Kingdom.

How much that is called by Jesus’ name really demonstrates this humility? Think about the lack of love, the
indifference towards others’ needs, the sharp and critical judgment of others that we are so quick to excuse.
Think of the temper and irritation, the bitterness and loneliness that have their root in pride. Pride only seeks itself.
Humility before God is best measured by our humility before man. Andrew Murray.

What is your heart attitude?

Model yourself after Jesus.
Let the power of the Holy Spirit come upon you with the humility of Jesus.

Undress yourself from your victim identity!

Do you feel yourself being stuck somewhere? Do you see yourself bathing in unfairness? Or maybe you feel this bitterness that is going to choke you and is polluting the atmosphere around you?

Sometimes, you might think: nobody understands me, nobody knows what I have been through and still going through, nobody sees my wounds. And you end up concluding that you are a victim.

Todayif you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.
When Jesus went up to Jerusalem, there was a man there waiting for someone to put him into the water once it moves so he can be healed from his infirmity.  For 38 years, this man, has been suffering from this infirmity. During those years, this infirmity took roots everywhere, in his mind, body and soul. It became part of him, it became his victim identity.

BUT

'When Jesus saw him lying there, and  knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”' John 5:6

Jesus saw him and knew his condition. That is exactly what Jesus is doing with you too. He sees YOU, He knows your pain, He knows all of your wounds, and does NOT ignore it. He comes to you too and is asking you the same question: Do you want to be made well?

Jesus desires to heal you, to carry your burdens, to wash away your guild, to set you free from any bondage! He WANTS to! But the question is, do you too want to be set free? Or you made the victim identity be part of your daily life, just coping with it?

Today, Jesus is telling you: Do not live your life stuck in your childhood, in your problems, in the unfairness of life. Identify your pain and it will bring you to the roots, put it before the Lord and let Him deal with it. If you leave it, it becomes like poison that kills.
Do not accept to accommodate your pain instead of dealing with it!
Yes, you cannot control what happened in the past, but you can and have the ability to control what is NOW.

God is not silent, God is working ALL the time, He never gets tired nor does He ever sleep. He is ready to perform His word!

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. 2Timothy 1:7

Did you read that? God has ALREADY given us a spirit of power, it is in you already, you have it, you own it but do you use it?

Jesus is asking you TODAY, do you want to be made well? Do you want me to cloth you with victory and sonship? He took this victim spirit from you already on the cross.
You have the choice to choose this victim identity, by adopting it and fit yourself in it or choose to undress yourself from it.

Where is Jesus?

Our image of the Father determines our level of intimacy with Him and your level of intimacy will determine how comfortable you are with the Presence of the Father.
Jesus main thing is to introduce you to the Father, to the love of the Father. Believe in the foundation of love first.
'who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins,  sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, ' Hebrews 1:3 -
Explains the nature of God. How we see the Father? Jesus is the exact representation of the Father. He is meek, lowly, generous, compassionate, forgiving, nonjudgmental, loving servant.
Jesus revealing Himself to us, explaining that the only way to have a fellowship with The Father is through Him.
Jesus said about Himself: I am the way, the truth and the life – no One comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
Jesus is the way to the Father.
He is the Truth itself, the cause and meaning of everything. He is the explanation of all our unanswered questions.
Jesus is life, Jesus said who looks at Him live – if your eyes are off Jesus, you lose the reception of Life! Because we simply have no life in ourselves. He is the bread of Life, without Him, we cannot survive.
I was very inspired by Jack Winter in one of his sermons: The Father Himself loves you:
In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. John14:2
“The safe place, he wants to bring you to a safe place where you can feel safe, where you live in a loving relationship with him where you live and enjoy him as your father.
Where is Jesus? Where is that place?

Jesus is preparing a place that where he is, we may be also! He is in the bosom of the Father in the Father’s heart!
If you are in Jesus Christ that is the place he has prepared for you! It is the bosom of the Father.
How precious and deep this is! Sitting right in the bosom of the Almighty! I never want to leave this place, I want to be wrapped by love itself! This is the oxygen of life.
God wants a fellowship with us, that what is going to bring healing and wholeness to you. Jesus did not come to bring religion, because religion brings fear – He came to have a relationship with us, He wants us to walk in love. Jesus came to bring His children to the person of God! To His presence, not to saturate them with rules.

I will not leave you orphans (comfortless), I will come to you! John14:18
Jesus is speaking here about the Holy Spirit, though absent in body, yet he would be present with them by his Spirit. He is comforting us as His children, that He will not leave us alone, He is revealing to us the person of the Holy Spirit that will accompany us at all times, so we won’t feel abandoned for a second.

You are wonderfully made!

Inspired by Trisha Frost and Jack Winter.
